Cleansing Crystals
I am so excited to be able to share this with you. If at anytime you are uncomfortable or unsure of what to do, please contact me and I would be more than happy to show you one on one. We also offer workshops that we teach how to do this as well. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THE BOOKS TEACH. In fact the way books teach to cleanse is not true. There is so much more to this vital piece.
Cleansing with Sage, Sprays, and Salts:
After you have figured out which crystal(s) you are beginning to work with, we have to remove all programs, intentions and stale energies that the crystal has picked up (absorbed). This can come right from the mine itself, or being somewhere that people are always touching the crystal example would be in a store. Its not that people intend to program them, but its all energy. Also you should NOT work with any crystal until this process is complete.
We have also created a super cleansing spray that is highly effective of cleansing and it is also extremely safe for those delicate crystals that dissolve when wet. This spray is called "Crystal Cleansing Spray©" that can be purchased. Just contact us and we can get one out to you. This is our top seller and this eliminates a lot of the steps below. LOVE IT!!!
A couple forms of cleansing that I myself use and find that are extremely effective is white buffalo sage bundles. NOT INCENSE STICKS!!! I make my own and also support a local Rocky Stoney First Nation that collect and make for me to share with all of you. These can be purchased through myself by email or message. $12 each.
Also, Himalayan Rock Salt is the new and powerful way of cleansing instead of sea salt. You can also use a crystal form of Halite. It is a sodium based mineral that also works extremely well. We also sell a specific blend for cleansing crystals as well if you would like to go this route.
Also if you can get to a mountain lake, that would be another fantastic way to cleanse the crystal. Having an Amethyst Geode, cluster or a Quartz cluster is another way to cleanse the crystals.
Keep in mind that some crystals are way too delicate, like Selenite, Kyanite, Desert Rose which is a Selenite form, Sulphur and they will dissolve when extremely wet.
Some crystals can not sit in a bowl of just salt (or salt water) again Selenite, Pearls, Celestite and Angelite. Not to mention, how would you feel if you were to sit in a bowl of salt? Wouldn't your skin become dry and cracked? So does the aura of the crystal.
***Also I understand that there are some crystals that others say that do not require cleansing, again Kyanite, Selenite and Citrine but please keep in mind that they are working overtime for you and it is all energy. They deserve to be cleansed and given a little vacation as well. It shows respect to them and therefore they will work harder for you.
When to cleanse your crystal:
Cleansing should be done once you bring home a new crystal from a store or if you have received one as a gift and should be done on a regular basis. That being said, trust your friend and ally and they will tell you when they need cleansing.
Usually you can tell a crystal needs cleansing by just looking at it. A cleansed and happy crystal will sparkle and not look dull. Also if you run your finger over it and it feels sticky, well than it would need a little help and a vacation in a salt spa. Also this is a key, when wearing crystal jewelry, like a crystal pendant, earrings or even your wedding rings, they are out with you all day long, exposed and working for you in the environment.
The Sioux Indians teach that your jewelry should be cleansed before bedtime in a little bowl of salt water and when you wake up in the morning, they are cleansed and ready to go. I have a couple little glass bowls ready for this process.
The Process of Cleansing Crystals:
This process is for removal of all programs when you first bring a crystal home from a store or somewhere else, or for removing previous programs.
Sit in a quiet place, clear the to do list mind and center yourself. This means take a few breaths and just relax.
At this point have your sage burning. Run your crystal back and forth through the smoke saying, "I CLEANSE THIS CRYSTAL OF ALL NEGATIVE LOW VIBRATIONS; REMOVING ALL PREVIOUS PROGRAMS AND INTENTIONS, RE-INSTATING THIS CRYSTAL TO ITS NATURAL GLORY SO IT MAY RELEASE ITS SUBTLE ENERGIES FOR THE GREATEST GOOD OF ALL!"
Now if you were wanting to keep the program that was already in the crystal, you would still run it through the smoke saying; "I CLEANSE THIS CRYSTAL OF ALL NEGATIVE, LOW VIBRATIONS, KEEPING THE INTEGRITY AND THE INTENT OF THE PREVIOUS PROGRAM INTACT!"
Have a tbsp. of Himalayan salt per liter of warm water prepared. Then place the sage and cleared crystal in the water for 20 minutes. Please make sure that you are using a glass dish like a casserole dish. Plastic isn't good for the crystals.
Yes, it is okay to have more than one crystal in the bath with it. Once the 20 minutes is complete, we can move onto the charging of the crystal. I sometimes like placing my crystals in my Amethyst Geode or on a cluster just to make sure that there is nothing left on the crystal that I might have missed. But if you followed the sage and salt bath than you can skip this part if you want to.
CHARGING/INFUSING YOUR CRYSTAL:
After you have cleansed your crystals, we now have to infuse them with energy. This means placing your crystals in moonlight. I also at this time will channel in the Christ Gold Energy that I carry to infuse the crystals. DO NOT PLACE IN SUNLIGHT!
Most crystals were not formed in the sunlight itself except for Amber. Sunlight will burn them, fade them and can reflect the light and cause a fire. Keep in mind your body and skin. You would not like to be fully exposed and burning in the sunlight. IT HURTS!!!
Ideally a full moon cycle would be fantastic, but even just a night is perfect. Now there are mixed reviews on when to put your crystal outside or in a windowsill for charging. I have had many, many lives in Egypt and we would always place our crystals outside three days before the actual full moon or new moon as these energies are more intense to three days after the moon cycle.
However, if you place your crystal in the moons energy on the night of the cycle, this is extremely perfect as well. No worries.
Now if you wake up and the sun is on the crystal, DON'T panic. Its not going to hurt them that bad that quickly. Just when you get a chance too, move the crystal. Again, some I leave for a full moon cycle but that is only if they are needing a holiday.
Dedicating & Programming your Crystal Friends:
Once you have charged your crystal, we must now give them a job to do. They do not like to sit and collect dust and not work.
Go through any crystal books at this point and figure out what it is that you want to program into the crystal.
Sit in a quiet place and hold the crystal in your hand. Now some people say hold it in your non dominant hand, but I have to disagree. Yes it will feel different in each hand as a separate sensation, but the point here is programming.
Close your eyes and feel the energies of the crystal. This may be a cold or hot feeling, a tingling feeling like a little electric shock or just a knowing is great too. Once you feel this energy, the crystal is now saying I have your energy; lets work.
We than say; "I DEDICATE THIS CRYSTAL TO THE HIGHEST GOOD OF ALL; MAY IT BE USED IN LIGHT AND IN LOVE. I ASK THAT THIS CRYSTAL BE PROGRAMMED AS A SACRED HEALING TOOL; TO CARRY THE PROGRAM OF (fill in the blanks). I RESPECT AND THANK THE CRYSTAL DEVA FOR GRANTING THIS REQUEST!"
Now your crystal is up and ready to go. Carry the crystal with you, or place under your pillow, meditate with it. Whatever you wish for as long as you are from light and love and respect, the crystal will work for you as an aid.
Please enjoy every moment you spend and appreciate what your ally is helping you with. The more you work and keep the same program in the crystal, the stronger they become.
